new exhibitors review — james girone
children’s club spring 2006
A unique children's clothing line for little girls marked by its whimsical and decidedly vintage approach to fabrics and silhouettes.
Standouts: The "girlfriend" dress that was inspired by a 1930's beach cover-up which boasts a double layer of ruffles at the neck and hem; the 1930's inspired silk charmeuse bolero jacket worn over a 50's inspired "can-can" dress; and the ruched panel skirt and ruffled sleeve tee.
FYI: Meli Meli actually means, "honey honey" in Greek (Ms. Kollias's husband is Greek), and among the company's mottos are, "It's beauty that captures your attention; personality which captures your heart" and "Happy clothing for sweet kids."
